Overview
FuelWarden is a fast-moving, athlete-founded startup building an AI-powered nutrition platform designed by athletes, for athletes. We're looking for a Mobile Developer experienced in React Native and/or Flutter to help transform our web app into a high-performing, intuitive mobile experience.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our UI/UX Designer and founding team to bring sleek, athlete-first mobile features to life. Your mission: to build a seamless, responsive mobile app that empowers athletes to track, fuel, and optimize their performance with ease.
What You’ll Do
- Build and deploy the FuelWarden mobile app using React Native and/or Flutter
- Collaborate with the UI/UX Designer to bring designs to life with pixel-perfect precision
- Translate web features into optimized, mobile-first functionality
- Ensure smooth performance across both iOS and Android platforms
- Work with backend APIs and integrate key features like user onboarding, nutrition tracking, and analytics
- Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and ensure top-tier user experience
- Participate in feature planning, sprint cycles, and code reviews
- Stay current with mobile development trends, performance best practices, and design standards
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with React Native and/or Flutter
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building and publishing mobile apps (iOS and Android)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integrations (LLMs & wearable devices)
- Comfort working closely with designers and translating Figma files into clean code
- Passion for clean, efficient, maintainable code
- Bonus: Personal interest in fitness, sports, or wellness
- Based in or near Phoenix, AZ is a plus (but not required)

- Remote-friendly or hybrid if based in Phoenix
- Paid (compensation discussed individually)
